The digital online platforms like Gayromeo, Grindr, etc are no real competition for the cities sex clubs. Maybe a few had to close down, but others opened. The Lab.oratory is extremely popular. It is possible and comes quite handy to spend all weekend there and in the adjacent trendy club Berghain. In Prenzlauer Berg there are five hot spots calling for uncomplicated sex: Stahlrohr 2.0, Darkroom, Sauna Treibhaus, legendary Greifbar and Cocks. Cocks has a party “Fuck’n Fill” especially for HIV positive customers. By the way, people do also chat here; the friendly staff at Stahlrohr 2.0 create an atmosphere for “relaxed open minded sex”(as advertised). The CDL Club in Schöneberg has become quite a venue - they even have W-LAN.
Ajpnia, right around the corner, has a more alternative touch. Apollo Splash Club is in the neighbourhood and very crowded when the party motto is “Touch a Pornstar”. Not far is Reizbar, on Sundays hosted by the KitKat-Gayteam with “Naked Fun”. Kreuzberg’s and Neukölln’s gays are drawn to Club Culture Houze (which is favoured by bisexuals) or to Triebwerk. A new address on Mehringdamm is Sauna Boiler which quickly became popular with “Wohlfühl-Tage” (wellness-days). On Sundays mainly the younger crowd prefers Ficken3000, where famous DJs turn up the heat for “Pork” party. If you like it harder, the Bösen Buben are your thing: Germany’s gay association for all types of flagellation and spanking. More sex parties invite you to go to Bull, traditional Scheune, burly Woof, New Action A party by invitation only is Horse Fair at KitKat-Club in Kreuzberg.
